There is an archive on Aminet uploaded recently that shows how to construct a memory expansion for the Amiga 600 from a 72-pin SIMM.

The first version does not have a real time clock or a battery but the author gives promise for future improvements. Another hardware hack offer 8 MB expansion for the A600. The Amiga 600 lives on!
